Invention of paper

How would paper change peoples life in the Han dynasty?
Cai Lun, who is the inventor of paper and papermaking process is know as a very popular guy and also he is born in Guiyang during the Han dynasty. After serving as a court eunuch from AD 75, he is given several promotions under the rule of emperor He of Han. In AD 89 he is promoted with the title of Shang Fang Si, an office in charge of instruments and weapons, he’s also a regular palace attendant.
Cai Lun’s plan is to invent paper because if he doesn’t people would use turtle shell, animal bone, golden stone, bamboo slips, wood and cloth to record data. It was hard to find all these writing materials like the animal bones could not be found easily and stone was heavy. Good cloth is to expensive to use for writing, and bamboo slips and wooden boards took too much space.
Cai Lun is going to make paper by boiling mulberry bark, hemp rags, and fishnets together in a large tub of water. Then he lowered a screen into the pulp and lifted some out letting the water drain out. He pressed the pulp flat to squeeze out any access water. After the pulp dried, he had a sheet of paper.
Cai Lun wants to invent paper because he knows that other writing materials cost a lot and there are a lot of peasant people and they can’t afford other materials, paper would be a lot less cheaper and anyone could afford it.
After Cai Lun invented paper people loved it because it was so cheap and some people said that “I never have to pay more money for a writing material again,” and this is what people thought of paper.

The Great Wall Of China

The strengthening and lengthening of the Great Wall helped the people of china by the attacks of the Xiongnu.
Wu Di,known as the "Martial Emperor," is a fierce ruler, has harsh punishments, and is powerful, and famous. In 141 BC he took over the Han Dynasty. Emperor Wu is the tenth child of Emperor Jing, and is born to one of Emperor Jing's favorite concubines in 156 BC. His mother has initially been married once, to a commoner called Jin Wangsun and has a daughter from that marriage.
Wu Di’s plan is to strengthen and lengthen the great wall because the Xiongnu is attacking the Han dynasty way to much so Wu Di wanted to do something about it.
Wu Di said the only way they could do this is by forming a lot of people together and improving the great wall. He also said “this isn’t going to be easy but if we work together we can complete this goal”. The next day when they woke up they started improving the great wall and it took them a while fixing the great wall. One month passed by and they just finished fixing the wall but still no sign of the Xiongnu, it was almost like they were watching Wu Di’s men building the wall. A lot of people died when they were fixing the great wall because it was really cold outside and they were working day and night every single day. Wu Di felt confident making this decision because a lot of people in china agreed with his idea and are tired of getting attacked by the Xiongnu.
The Xiongnu is a confederation of nomadic tribes from central Asia with a ruling class of unknown origin and they were initially a collection of small and insignificant tribes residing in the barren Mongolian highlands.
Improving the great wall was actually a pretty good idea because later on when the Xiongnu tried to attack they couldn’t get in because the wall was longer and stronger. After this event Wu Di is known as a hero of the Han dynasty. The Xiongnu tried so hard to get in but after all they gave up and never interrupted the Han dynasty again.

Han Dynasty Takes Mandate Of Heaven

After Liu Bang attacks the capital Xianyang, he kills emperor Fusu and takes the throne.

Liu Bang’s first plan is to go to Xianyang, the Qin capital and break through the great wall at night when everyone is sleeping.

Liu Bang doesn’t like that the Qin dynasty is known as the most strongest and the most ruling dynasty and Liu Bang who led the Han dynasty wanted to be known as the best dynasty of all time.

Liu Bang is the first emperor of the Han Dynasty. He was born into a peasant family. He is known as an emperor who contributed a large amount of the prosperity of the Han Dynasty.

On the other hand the Qin dynasty who Liu Bang already attacked has a very mean and a harsh dynasty. In 210 BC Qin died and his son took over his empire. Emperor Qin was a harsh emperor because he had harsh laws, also people had to pay taxes because that was his rule. Fusu was Qin’s oldest son and when Fusu’s dad died he kept all the laws as the same as his father did and ruled exactly how he did too.

Liu Bang and his army planned to kill every single one of Fusu’s people and kill Fusu the last one. Before Liu Bang has took over the Qin dynasty he plans on abandoning the harsh Qin laws, reduced taxes, and protected the people. People would probably appreciate how Liu Bang would be taking care of them.
